SLM is designed for high precision length measurement of discrete parts, which are goods in pieces as e.g. tubes, rods, turning workpieces, plates, profiles, construction solid wood, structural timber, tiles,etc. SLM can be used for target lengths in between e.g. 10 mm up to 4876 mm (up to 10000 mm with future versions). SLM achieves an accuracy of approx. ± 0.1 mm/m with a repeatability of ± 0.03 mm. The system is designed for 100% inline measurement as well as for manual random sample testing. SLM can be easily integrated into machines and can optionally be equipped with display, good / waste indicator, good / waste counter, sorting devices or even already integrated into complete conveyor systems. An other option is to equip the unit with an additional scale to automatically measure meter weight, which is a standard task in extrusion processes.
